So far, the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires on my Toyota Sienna have performed admirably in most of the weather conditions I’ve encountered.
In the warmer months, they handle quite well on dry surfaces in town as well as on the highways in Idaho, where I live and work. The steering wheel’s responsiveness particularly struck me. I avoided a large obstacle on the road while driving on the highway, thanks to the incredibly sensitive and precise steering wheel.
The Michelin CrossClimate 2’s handling in winter conditions pleased me the most. This is most likely the best all-weather snow tire I’ve ever bought. This winter, I was able to drive in 6 inches of snow and some thin ice with superb traction and handling, especially in the corners, thanks to CrossClimate 2.
Despite the tires’ excellent snow performance, the CrossClimate 2 is quite quiet, especially on the highway, and I didn’t feel any road noise even at speeds above 70 mph.

This is one of the tires I’ve previously used on my minivans. And, as the name implies, the Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack is extremely quiet.
As I drove around town on paved roads, the tires were quite silent. There will be some noise on concrete surfaces or at highway speeds above 75 mph, but that’s not a significant concern to me.
More specifically, most other tires become noisier as mileage climbs, but the Turanza QuietTrack is different; they’re quieter than any other tire I’ve owned throughout the first two-thirds of its tread life. That is, they are silent even while worn.
Furthermore, I’m delighted with how comfortable the tires are in everyday driving. They absorb and manage road bumps and potholes with ease, with no vibrations entering the interior.
As a result, the ride quality is incredibly smooth in most conditions, far superior to the CrossClimate 2 tires I’m now using.
In terms of performance, I’ve driven through a lot of heavy rain in Idaho with this tire, and I’m impressed with how well it handles in the wet while maintaining outstanding traction.

I’ve had these tires on my wife’s Toyota Sienna since August 2021, and she’s been happy with them from the first mile. And, to accurately evaluate these tires, I drove and experienced them in a variety of situations, and I am particularly satisfied with their performance in the rain.
The TrueContact Tour is without a doubt the best rain tire I’ve ever used. They have substantially greater traction on wet surfaces than previous all-season tires I’ve had on my Odyssey.
Even when driving at 70 mph on the interstate in heavy rain, the hydroplaning resistance is great, and the acceleration is outstanding. The tire’s handling in deep puddles or heavy rain is excellent, and when I feel the tire has extremely good traction in the corners, I feel very confident.
The braking distance is significantly better than the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires that are currently mounted on my Honda Odyssey. When I tested the stopping distances of two cars on wet terrain, I discovered that the TrueContact Tour tires have a braking distance roughly 15 feet shorter than the CrossClimate 2 tires. Goodyear Warranty WeatherReady is a tire that was previously fitted on my wife’s Toyota Sienna. She desired a set of tires capable of handling all weather situations, particularly in the winter, without the need for specialized snow tires, and this tire met her expectations.
My wife mainly drives around town and occasionally on Idaho’s highways. She can easily get through 3 to 4 inches of light snow with an Assurance WeatherReady tire with the 3PMSF emblem, and the wheel scarcely slides and spins on this surface.
Her ability to corner on hard-packed snow is also amazing; she can effortlessly handle the car in turns while maintaining excellent traction and responsiveness.
On dry roads, the tires provide excellent traction as well as responsive and precise cornering. She found it tough to corner with the specialized winter tires, but with the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady, she found it much easier.

I used to test the Goodyear Assurance MaxLife on a friend’s vehicle. And they impressed me when I tested them on the highway and in town in a variety of situations, including rain, snow, ice, and a little gravel on a trail near my house.
But arguably the most impressive aspect of the tires was their durability. After 10 months of installation, the tires had accumulated 15,000 miles by the time I borrowed the car for a test drive.
I evaluated the tread depth and discovered that the tread has very little wear and that the tire is evenly worn; it appears to be brand new. My acquaintance stated that he is pleased with the tire wear thus far.
Furthermore, they have good traction in the rain, especially on the highway, where I didn’t observe any hydroplaning while driving at 70 mph, making me feel extremely confident in wet road conditions, even in heavy rain.

Michelin has done an excellent job, in my opinion, of maximizing the driving experience on Defender 2. In comparison to other models in the class, I believe my dry road operations are lighter, more precise, and far faster. Even at high speeds, it reacts effectively to simple handling.
The improved steering delivers greater comfort as well as superior acceleration performance. Previously, I was cautious to drive too fast on minivan tires.
In addition, the Michelin Defender2 provides superior noise control than I anticipated. I felt its improved grip on the initial roads. However, while having good friction, it does not generate a lot of noise. With contemporary measuring devices, I know its noise level is even lower than usual.
I put the Defender 2 through its paces in an ancient minivan with outmoded suspension. Even after traveling a relatively long distance, I did not feel uneasy.
It was obvious that the car’s shock absorber system was no longer functioning properly. The superb impact resistance of the tires was the only thing keeping my ride comfortable.
My only complaint about this tire is its wet traction. A big rainstorm towards the conclusion of the day was ideal for testing on wet surfaces.
Wet traction was enough for handling conditions, however, while cornering, the wheels slipped more than other tires I’ve used previously. But I can still drive safely around those corners with my minivan.

General is not a well-known name when it comes to low-cost tire styles. However, there are some notable exceptions, such as the AltiMAX RT45. These grand touring all-season tires offer numerous benefits that well outweigh their low price.
When compared to a similar feature model, it saved me 20 to 25% of my money. You might find even better rates throughout the year’s big discounts.
Despite its inexpensive price, it provides outstanding performance and good stability in a variety of weather conditions. I tested it on both dry and wet roads, and the results were not surprising.
The sensors do not detect a significant change in the vehicle’s center of gravity. In other words, my minivan’s tires did not sway or lose control.

When traveling on highways, I always use the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. It contains everything I need to make my minivan run smoothly and quietly. This model also includes numerous amazing integrations to improve towing and hauling safety.
Its average traction is consistent across the terrain, from dry to wet. Even on a light snow surface, traction is excellent. With this tire, I can easily travel through 3 to 4 inches of snow while maintaining excellent acceleration. When accelerating in light snow, I don’t detect the wheels slipping or spinning.

On snow and ice, the Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 is the best choice for Best Tires for Minivans. This tire impressed me from the minute I drove the minivan out of the garage and into the first snowstorm of the season.
The handling performance of this snow tire was the first item I evaluated. Indeed, the Blizzak WS90 did not let me down. In my opinion, the steering feels good on light snow.
This tire performs almost all simple and difficult activities rapidly. Even in 12 inches of snow, the tires still glide well, I didn’t observe any loss of traction, and I was able to accelerate easily in deep snow without the tires slipping or spinning.
The tires also perform admirably on ice, with excellent traction; I was extremely delighted by the results.

Snow tires for minivans are frequently uncomfortable in my experience. These tires are also very noisy, which interferes with my driving experience. Until I drove the Continental VikingContact 7, all of my fears were completely dispelled.
In my experiments, the noise level was the same in thin and medium snow areas. The results of sensory evaluation by turning on music or the specialized meter are the same. Although it is not fully silent, the large noise reduction is quite beneficial to me.
Except for rocky terrain, this tire rides well. In addition, I’ve discovered that working with the VikingContact 7 in mild snow is effective. I can feel considerably superior accuracy to other rivals by braking sharply and twisting.
On both dry and wet surfaces, good traction is maintained. However, the braking distance will be significantly greater than with the Blizzak WS90 tire I previously used. The VikingContact 7 is still an excellent winter tire on both dry and wet roads.
Vikingcontact 7 has a good steering response, especially in difficult winter driving conditions. However, this tire model does not provide an enjoyable driving experience. The lack of positive center steering is something I dislike. And it occasionally causes me to lose control while driving over uneven terrain.
