They can, however, take on snow and sand as well. They have an aggressive tread design as well as a self-cleaning track. You can always count on the tire to spew dirt, rocks, and other debris.

Apart from making the tire appear nice, the large shoulder grooves do an excellent job of clearing any caked-up muck from the tire. The shoulder grooves on the Courser MXT contain an additional strip of rubber for protection, similar to Falken’s Wildpeak M/T because the shoulder is the most prevalent location for punctures.
Another feature we appreciate is the alternating scooped shoulder block design, which gives the tire a more aggressive appearance while also providing more biting edges for better lateral grip. Large sidewall lugs shield the sidewall, which is essential when traveling on soft terrain.
It’s wonderful to see that Mastercraft didn’t forget that we spent a lot of time on the road since they optimized the contact patch size to be more wet-pavement friendly.
Mastercraft incorporated deep sipping into the tread to improve traction and stability on wet roads and snow, which means the sipping will remain useful long after the tire is worn. The Courser MXT is a M+S tire that can also be studded.

The MT51 excels both on and off the road. It has a symmetric cut and chip-resistant tread compound, as well as a somewhat less aggressive tread pattern than the Road Venture MT, a true mud-terrain tire.

The KM2s are without a doubt among the best mud-terrain tires on the market. They are made with greatest traction in mind for extreme mudders.
The huge spaces between the tread blocks are one of the key reasons why the KM2 works so well in muck.
Mud adheres to the tread of the tire and fills in the spaces between the tread blocks when off-roading, effectively turning the tire into a slick. To counteract this, BFGOODRICH equipped the KM2 with extremely big voids, allowing the tire to self-clean and hurl away any caked-up mud.
Large voids, on the other hand, have the apparent disadvantage of increasing noise on the pavement. Furthermore, the spacing of the tread blocks reduces the tire’s tread life – these are some of the drawbacks of a high-performance mud-terrain tire.
